International Remittance

Overseas migrant workers who pick our food, prepare our meals and look after our children, are being unfairly exploited when they remit funds back to their home countries. These after-tax funds are earned by hard working individuals who have had the courage to leave their homes in search of a better living for themselves and their families.  It's not charity for remittance fees to reflect the true cost of delivering the service and it costs us nothing to insure no one profits unfairly from these vulnerable in servitude workers.
According to the World Bank International remittance flows exceed $400 billion per year. If   fees on these remittances could be reduced by just 5%, then another $20 billion a year would end up directly in the pockets of these migrants enabling them to help themselves, their families and their communities.

Become a "Cupid" sustainer

Make the world a better place by becoming a "sustainer".  Anyone needing support, from buying vegetables for their family to paying tuition for their children may, request your support. You can share as much or as little of your treasure as you desire and you may remove yourself from the Sustainer list at any time.  We provide this unique service for gifting funds, person-to-person, to complete strangers for free. Neither you nor the recipient is charged a fee for our service and we use fair real time currency exchange rates.
Recipients can never contact you, unless you choose to share contact information with the person(s) you have chosen to support.  Persons requesting your support must do so only at registered Yodo Merchants where the merchants must assess an individual's genuine needs prior to permitting them to send their request.  You can trust we do our best to protect the integrity of the sustainer system by ensuring  our merchants follow  policy and assess needs prior to allowing recipients to make requests.   Unfortuantely needs may not always be legitimate, as a small number of people will always attempt to scam other's generosity, so please be vigilant.  To become a voluntary Sustainer, you must yourself first be using Yodo Mobile Payments after which you may enter your name and your YodoPay account number below. You must also provide your mobile phone number which will remain private and only be used to route requests to you.

The focus of our work is Financial Inclusion and  the elimination of the the "digital divide" causing market inefficiencies and limiting economic growth.  Mobiles  have become pervasive across the globe and represent an unique opportunity to close the income gap between first and second worlds. Providing mobile POSs to small merchants in the developing world we can enhance financial access and create new opportunities. By working with  private sector groups such as rural Credit Unions and small merchants,  Ayodo will build the infrastructure  necessary to enhance financial inclusion and thereby create wealth and empower the poor to help themselves.  The true cost of a remittance service is a small portion of the fees being charged by large banks and multinationals like Western Union.  Grow the Yodo network;  donate $300 and we will delivery a free mobile POS to a merchant of your choice in the developing world.
